Restaurant chef Brad Sciullo chomped his way through a 7kg burger, which came with a further 2.3kg of toppings, in four hours and 39 minutes earlier this week in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
What a feat but I think it’s insane to do that. For completing the challenge in the under-five-hour time limit, Mr. Sciullo took home US$400 (S$590), three T-shirts, a certificate “and a burger hangover”, the newspaper reported.
Has Mr. Sciullo considered how his stomach and the digestive system in his body is taking all this? His insides must be gnashing, growling (not out of hunger but of too much work to do) and groaning in pain under that amount of food! I think we should honor and respect the body organs that have been given to us and ensure that they are kept in the best of health and give them the right treatment. Then will these organs function properly and healthily. Why subject our God-given organs to pain and trauma just so you are named “Burger King”. Well, I certainly don’t think the title, or the prizes, are worth this tiny fame.
God bless Mr. Sciullo’s insides.
